I've seen dates announced for several regions (i.e. Middle East, UK, etc ), but nothing about the US yet. Are there any rumored or official dates yet?

Also, general consensus seems to be that the price will be in the $500-$600 range, correct?

Soon.... My guess would be Canada then US, so maybe sometime in late Nov or early Dec for pre orders.

I taught the consensus was going to be about $449 - $479 USD.

My best guess is US $450, but as for time -- who knows.

I would HOPE they'd get the announcement out in the next week or two, and shipment before end of November, but who knows if they will.

They really should announce it now, so that people grab it now or plan to grab it on the big weekend.... Otherwise people will shop other offerings that are prepared for now and thru the big black friday / cyber monday spree.

    ^ this is so correct.

$450 would be great -- much closer to my affordability level.

Unfortunately, I agree. If they put in the same low quality battery as in the DTEK60, the Motion should be at MSRP $200 - $300 CAD.

I agree. I've seen $450-$499 all over the forums for what it's worth. Black Friday deal would be great. Either reduced price or throw in extras.

Maybe BlackBerry Friday? I know I know, I can hope.

They did announce it. You just weren't listening.

    'Select markets'.

As I noted elsewhere, I don't make this suggestion often, but if you want one... import one from Canada.

The model has GSM bands listed as well so it might support both (Pixel devices do IIRC).

I've said this in other threads...no guarantee on a US release, I expect that BlackBerry Mobile is taking care of the markets where it still has a bit of a strong hold. Canada, Europe, looks like India is on board via bbmobile and Optimus. I expect after that rolls out you will see an Amazon release in the US

I want this new BlackBerry phone. I'm in the US. I'm on Verizon. Those three things are not a good combination these days. And, while I'm disappointed, because I really don't see the US being a "select market" after reading through the lines on some of the forums, I can understand BBMobile's thoughts around skipping the US (for now).

If I want BlackBerry phones to be made in the future, BBMobile needs a strategy now that allows them to capitalize on what markets they can sell in.

Worst case scenario, I pick up a KeyOne to replace my PRIV.
