Maybe BBM / TCL can take a page from Andy Rubin's book. Now there's an absolute show of support and commitment one doesn't see every day, very impressive when one considers the whole picture.

I hope many of the issues, especially concerning my Bluetooth connection with my car, is now fixed. But I'm afraid it's nothing more than a security update. I'm now on security level 1 September 2018

Motion BBD100-2 has no love but for one PRD. Except for Oreo, longest I've had to wait for an update.

Just installed ABG076 on my unlocked Motion BBD100-2 on T-Mobile. Battery seems to have improved as its been on 88% for past several minutes of use.

I just don't understand why the UK Motion's are not getting the updates. The phone was sold as having monthly updates, we're now near the end of September with my phone stuck on the June update. And getting a response from BBMobile is like pulling teeth.

There's so much to like about this phone, but I'm struggling to understand why the UK variant is being left behind?

I'm UK too. It seems that the September update is coming with Oreo. Oreo has had a number of problems so in a way I'm pleased that it's being sorted out before we get it without the bugs etc. However, as I said in another thread, it appears that new BlackBerry devices are often sold early / first in the UK so the company seems very keen to get the income but less keen to provide the support.

I am voting with my wallet. My next phone will have very different logo. I am also removing BB phones from the list of potential suppliers for my employer estate. Simple as that - in total we have around 3000 mobile phones. Large part of those are Windows mobiles that need replacing. That replacement won't be Blackberry... Someone else will make money. Someone with better support, better updates etc. BB is not reliable enough to be considered.

Because TCL is TCL. Supporting a device is a new experience for them, since what they're used to manufacturing are pretty much burner phones and remote detonators.

Because there is only a single product SKU for all UK devices, Vodafone essentially controls the update process. They have a deal that they can vet any OS build before deployment.

This has been rectified with the KEY², as Vodafone has their own unique SKU - separate from the non-carrier-purchased version.

Yes it is. Already finished update. All seem to be OK however at some point my Motion switched itself off. Other user in the forum reported similar issue....

Yeah that's what I thought as mine is the same as yours...

Considering a patch hasn't even shown up on server yet I'm wondering myself if we'll be stuck another month behind. And gathering in this case it's not a carrier hold-back either as they can't issue what they don't have access too.

PTCRB hasn't certified any build beyond ABD301 as of yet.

This typically needs to be done prior to a North American release.
