Last patch was from October 2019. Updates are over.

I personally wouldn't be comfortable using an Android device that is 6 months out of date, but I have client data that I'm responsible for.

If you stick to reputable apps on the Play Store, stay away from shady websites, and don't open weird emails, you should be ok for a while.

That certainly helps protect data in transit when out in public, but it doesn't really address the device security issues regarding patching.

It reached 24 months, which was all that was committed to. So, yes.

Personally, I use the S-Pen on the Note pretty regularly, so I'm a Note guy. I've used phones from the Galaxy S series a few times, but I simply like the Notes a lot more, they are very flexible phones.

I'd go with the newest Android possible since it means you're getting security updates for a longer time period from purchase if that's important to you.
