    Nothing new....

BBMo devices are specialty devices... if you don't value the brand or the suite of apps or the security, it's probably not a company you need to consider. It's why BBMo made the Motion a limited release and put off the other planned SLAB.

I really wonder what Optiemus is expecting out of the two Evolve phones they are launching there.

I own the BlackBerry Motion and the Black Edition KEYone. The Poco phone is getting all this hype as the new flagship phone killer. Even some online tech reviewers are saying it's pretty nice. So I'm wondering why TCL couldn't have done this? If they could make a top tier spec phone for $300 then TCL could do the same. Then add BlackBerry software and still sell it for around $500. That would have got a lot of people talking.

Is Poco paying BlackBerry for the right to use their name? Android Secure software? HUB+ Suite of Apps? Monthly update packages (I wonder if Optiemus is going too)?

As I understand it Oppo has had a lot of success in India with their OnePlus division, this is Xiaomi just trying to One up them... might even be selling these at a loss in order to build the POCO "brand".

Xiaomi is a very large and successful company.

    TCL Communications is not.

Most likely selling at a loss. But look at all the buzz and hype this phone is getting compared to what the KEYone, Key2, and Motion got.... Hell, look at Oneplus now. The Oneplus 6T will be their first carrier supported device when it goes on sell for T-Mobile later this year.

I would have bought more than one Motion if it came with the same specs as this budget buster phone
