That's the 3rd person I've heard this happen to. Very strange. It's clearly an accident.
PRD-63739-017?
Hahaha! Yeah it must've been an accident to actually release it during the same month it was meant for.Attachment 441208
I got it too, same PRD.
The weird thing is the initial update notification came up as a date code string instead of saying it was an update to ABJ879
Wondering if they're testing something.
Conite...this was the original time frame for updates when Priv released. Right??
In the early days, yes.
Wouldn't it be great if BlackBerry Mobile could produce a phone that has timely security updates. My wife's Pixel looks more and more compelling everyday. I'm trying to get more comfortable typing on glass. I've run out of patience with BlackBerry Mobile and BlackBerry Ltd.
You would lose more than you gain by switching to vanilla Android.
Is Oreo 8.1 on the May patch more secure than 9.0 on the November patch?
I would say, hands down, yes. On BlackBerry Android.

But to be fair, ALL Motions and the vast majority of KEYᵒⁿᵉs are on Sep or Oct patch.
I got ABJ879 yesterday on my Motion. using it on T Mobile as a pay as you go test. I want a BlackBerry phone and my VZW Z30's battery is getting weaker. love the phone. in Southern California. it also is true my wife and I can get unlimited data on T Mobile for our two lines for half the price as VZW. that VZW price is for 4 GB of shared data.
I am on bbd100-2 from Koodo and still on October. Anyone in Canada with Telus/Koodo got the November update?
What exactly would you loose? Better performance management, smoother experience, timely updates, especially on Android One. BB Suite could be installed. Honestly, the only thing you loose is the PKB and the many, many bugs BBMo devices have.
Nah, those of us with factory unlocked KEYᵒⁿᵉ PRD 63116-039 devices surely prefer to stay on the July patch, lol! 😜
On Koodo in AB, still running ABI087 from October
Just received ABJ189 in Alberta on Koodo
Should have said ABJ879
