Motion stuck in fast book after failed system update installation
I had this happen to me in late February of this year. My phone said it had a system update to install and so I let it run and install. The installation failed and my phone refused to budge from the fast boot screen. It would show the bar codes, circle right back to the fast boot screen pressing option 2 or 3, and shut it down pressing option 4. I did follow the instructions on that screen of holding the power button for 10+ seconds to force the reset but it just circles back to the fast boot screen over and over again no matter how long I hold the power button. I came on this forum and the mobile upgrade app was recommended to me. I downloaded and installed in on my PC and managed to get my Motion going again. Lo an behold, I had a system update this past Friday (16 May) and it failed again, leaving me a phone stuck in fast boot. I updated the mobile upgrade tool but it is not working this time. It gets to step 3 of 4 and gets stuck at 815MB when it begins "initializing", then it times out saying a device could not be detected. I need my phone back. It's less than a year old and it's like pulling teeth to get Blackberry to respond with a fix instead of asking me questions about my purchase. Is there anything else I can try?
