I haven't had that happen on my Motion. runs perfectly.
I did have it happen on my Dtek50. turns out the motherboard went. hence why I have a motion now 😁
Going on 9 month with my Motion and not once has it shutdown/rebooted on its own, nor a freeze.
Yours sounds like a hardware issue to me. Has your phone ever been subjected to any blunt forces like being dropped?
Also possible (I'm guessing) a recently installed app is wreaking havoc, or something went amiss with the OS. If this issue doesn't sort itself out I'd be inclined to do a hard reset (complete refresh) w/o back up before doing anything else, might be worth a try.
Did you find the problem ?
My 12 month old Motion had the same problem. Not dropped. Reset to factory settings. Replaced all apps. No effect. Now waiting to return for repair.) :
I am having the same issue. restarts 3 or more times in a row, restarts for no reason.
any updates, did they charge you for the repair?
Do a clean install with the Mobile Upgrade Tool on your PC.

Mine did that right after the upgrade to Android 8. Blackberry had me do a factory reset. It was not 100% effective cure for a few days, but then has been stable since then.
can you give me more direction
Download and install the app on your PC.
Put your device in fastboot mode (from off, hold pwr button and down volume).
Plug in device and run the tool.
And turn off password
You don't need to. That's only necessary for a no-wipe autoloader.
I got errors wit Mobile Upgrade Tool if password was on.
Live and Learn. :)
hi all
Im kinda lost. what mobile upgrade tool are we talking about
The one you were previously linked to. Download it, install it on your computer, plug in your device and run the app. Follow the on-scren instructions.

I got mine in November of 2017. No problems yet. I'll be forced to get a Key2 if it starts acting up.
Phone keeps rebooting over and over.
after doing the pushed ABP819 update ugh.
update, I downloaded, and followed the prompts. worked great for 48 hours, no restarts.
Day 3, restarts during phone calls, will do it 3 times before it settles down and stays on.
any ideas?
Mine started doing this last week. First though it was dropping calls almost every call i was on. Then last week it started rebooting automatically. I did a factory reset. It doesn't seem to be dropping calls anymore...as long as its not rebooting. Just today though it wont stay on. It shuts off and turns on constantly (before it even fully boots up) then it will stay off.
Check your SD card to see if it's corrupted , if it is , then you would have to get rid of it. My motion is experiencing the same problems.
Tried everything so far, including this upgrade tool (which in the program says it's for KeyOne but no biggie I'm sure), and still nothing seems to work. I guess I'm going to have to assume it's a hardware issue then?
Maybe it's a battery issue. I left it overnight and was at 4% in the morning. I quickly plugged it in and within moments, the battery percentage was at 77%. Somewhat impossible if you ask me. Then later in the day it showed 67% but after a random reboot, it said I needed to plug it in as there wasn't enough power. Upon plugging it in, the battery showed as 56%. ?????????? Anyone have a clue?
Sounds like you’re due for a battery replacement.
I'm also now having issues with mine dying randomly. Just started acting up a few weeks ago. No new apps had been installed. One time it game the low battery warning and shutdown with an indicated 92% battery life left. Guess it's time to buy another one or wait for the other BlackBerry coming next year.
Replacing the battery should fix the problem.
