I follow ALL things BB Mobile/Phones/CrackBerry/Software

I love this company, I got REALLY emotional when Thor was CEO and announced he MIGHT be selling the company. I accidentally dropped my Z30 into soy sauce on a date because of that news. I have had a TON of BB branded phones, from the first Curve to the Priv and DTEK50. I just like this company.

So because I like it, I go onto CB, like a lot of people, and when I do all I see is that picture. Now a lot of users might google BlackBerry Motion, and when they do google their issues they wind up on CrackBerry and are bombarded with the page I see in the pictures.

Someone like my little brother is exactly like that. They'll just read the titles, assume it has all those problems and spread the word.

It starts here, the place people come looking. We're part of the issue.

What's so special about this phone? It's a secured device aimed at CORPORATIONS, it's not for Muhammed Abdul or John Smith looking for a Samsung S8 or LG G6, it's a cheap spam device for a company to buy 500 of to give to their employees.

Montion launching with android 7 when 8 is out? Education on this question. Pretty sure 8 is on like 1.5% of devices and those are just the pixel ones. Like ANY android device, it takes at least a year for the current OS to get onto a device, if it ever does (PRIV)

Motion DOA? That's you're opinion, and the 400K sold KEYone's is something you made up. Go to BGR and spout those false numbers.

Very Average, infact: It was never meant to stand out. That's what the Note 8, S8, LG V30, LG G6, Iphone X, Essential Phone, Mii Mix2 and THOUSANDS of others are for. This is a device aimed at corporations, they don't want something special, they want something that works.

750$ price tag in Canada?!!! Welcome to Canada, where the product conversion rate from USD could be 400dollars and we'd get a fancy 150% Cross the border tax.

What's the giant chin for? capacative buttons, just like the. Samsung s7, iPhone 8, Zenphone, HTC U11, HTC 10, (insert a thousand andorid phone shere)

That's all for now, just felt like ranting after I was abruptly woken up by loud clawing at the my door (cats)

My point is, that when people come to CB to read about a phone they are excited for and all they see is negativilty, that brings their hopes down. Most people are followers, and if everyone else who is following is down, they will be too.

If someone is interested on a device like Motion and is fairly intelligent it should avoid the biased opinions on forums and look for a professional point of view on some reliable test and review webs out there. There you will find some raw data.
Then you can use the forums to read about issues affecting the device, how people is using it, problems with apps, etc. But avoid people's thoughts about the phone and try to make your own Opinion.

OP I appreciate your emotional investment but I recommend you not be too invested because if I have to put money on Blackberry vs Blackberry branded handsets, I'd be investing in the former.

The dtek50 was also a "spam" device and the dtek60 for the executives. The same was said of the KEYONE, and now the motion.

I truly believe that most of the people buying these handsets are people on crackberry and similar minded blackberry enthusiasts who are not on crackberry. And they don't mind paying the premium prices evidently.

But yea I agree their devices are all targeting enterprise except that enterprises don't need blackberry devices for security, they haven't needed them for a long time. Those that did or do are still on legacy or bb10.

The employer I work with is a municipal governmental entity and they deploy midrange Samsung devices for the supervisors and managers. Data include pretty sensitive information on clients etc..they didn't need blackberry. So...
