This is a major Hub software issue. Unacceptable IMO. BlackBerry needs a fix ASAP
The Hub is terrible now, I've moved back to Outlook for my exchange account.
Update from Support:
At this time the development team is still working on the issue and has informed us the it will be addressed in the nextx system update which is due any day now.
We strongly advise you to update the device as soon as you get the package as to fix your unresolved issue.
As the solution will roll out with the system update , we will mark this ticket as resolved and proceed to close it.
Transferred to non-BB device and decided to pay subscription for HUB+, but the issue with freezing on longer email threads keeps persisting since the K1&K2 days. Even on way faster HW with 12GB of RAM.
Not a hardware issue, most the problems with HUB have to do with lack of development and keeping up with changes in Android.... three years ago there was still hope for refinements and fixes. But now that's less likely to happen. If it meets your needs, great! If not it's time to find something else to use...
@Dunt Dunt Dunt - yeah, unfortunately you seem to be right. I am trying to support BB, was planning to buy the OnwardMobility device if it is up to Key2 standard for year 2021, but with major issues in core SW like the HUB+ I am less and less inclined to trust them.
Doesn't look like OnwardMobility is going to use HUB+....
At this point it's shouldn't be about trying to support BB.... as I think they have already decided to end HUB+ and are out of the phone business. I think all the patents are about to be gone (why I think OM is only getting a sticker). Use HUB+ if it works well for your needs.
If you like PKB devices... that might be a good reason to support OM.
