    Thank you!

So if folks want a Motion that works on AT&T or T-Mobile in the US, they should get BBD100-2, what about people on Verizon or Sprint?
I thought we would need a BBD100-1 for att in the US, all my other BlackBerrys are all 100-1 here.

Sounds like -2 is NA and -1 is the International elsewhere version.....

Yep, you want the -2 if you live in North America.

However -1 will work. It doesn't have every LTE band but do you need them ALL? A serious question. Please.

Yes because carriers use different bands in different parts of country. I bought Z30 years ago that was AT&T/T-Mobile compatible. Since it was missing certain bands, it wasn't really AT&T compatible in my area. I couldn't get LTE coverage in my area, but I could in other parts of country. I could use T-Mobile but, I had multiline plan with AT&T.

They made different versions for a reason.....

In the case of the MOTION the most-likely difference between the -1 and -2 will be that for the -1 T-Mobile will probably not connect for either VoLTE or WiFi calling.

AT&T generally doesn't allow either on any handset they don't actually sell themselves (they whitelist IMEIs and blackball all others, a practice that is arguably illegal but nobody in the DOJ cares) so if you're on AT&T you may not see any user experience difference between the two models.

So, is that the same as saying if you get the -2 and put it on T-Mobile's network, it should work fine AND have VoLTE and WiFi calling?

It should, yes. I don't know if anyone has yet, but there's no reason to believe it won't considering that the previous "NA" models from both the "older" and "New" BlackBerry have (Priv, DTEK60 and KeyONE in my personal experience.)

You will get LTE on AT&T generally, but if you go look you'll find the VoLTE/IMS switch (to turn that on) is missing because AT&T won't provision it on non-AT&T-sold handsets.

So now PDA Plaza has a BBD100-6 version of the Motion available - can someone please educate me on what carrier(s) that version is intended for?

Also, why is the (CAD) pricing on the Motion so different depending on the version - $623 for the BBD100-1, $689 for the BBD100-6, and $765 for the BBD100-2? Is that just because of what they anticipate the supply/demand to be, with the highest being for the NA-specific BBD100-2?

At least the BBD100-2 now says "Stock due end of December" so that is good!

Isn't the 100-6 a dual sim or something equally odd?

    It's the dual-SIM version of the BBD100-1.

Has anyone else seen this on Amazon?
    BlackBerry Motion BBD100-1 32GB Single-SIM 5.5" inch Android Factory Unlocked 4G/LTE Smartphone (Black) - International Version https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077486W98...UvbUpU13103901

It's an unlocked international version that says it works on US GSM networks. Is there any reason why I should be worried about buying this? I use T Mobile.

They only have a few left but I've been watching it for a few days and it seems they keep getting more.

If you're on T-Mobile in the US, you want BBD100-2. The -1 variant has missing LTE Bands, it will work but won't have as much coverage depending on your area...
