And all the people who defended the id1ot button for ten years will now brag about how innovative Apple is to get rid of it!

That's no excuse for Android's three id1iot buttons, btw!

Ya but mine are on the glass and used daily. After using BlackBerry 10 for a few years it took me a while to get used to them but I like them there.

basically a keyone with no keyboard, and some minor aesthetic changes. Wonder where the finger print sensor is?, hopefully won't have a button at the front which is getting very old school now.
My guess is it will have a home button on the front doubling for a fingerprint scanner. Although that look is getting dated a large number of Android phones still rock it.
My guess is it will be a rectangular home button in an attempt to stick with the KEYᵒⁿᵉ design.

Camera module is different looking than the KEYone. I was hoping for a camera as good as the KEYone, hopefully that holds true.
    As good? Okay

What if they surprise everyone with a below glass/bezel fingerprint sensor instead of a physical button?

Haha considering they aren’t doing research on it, it’s next to impossible.

What's what? So the krypton is way taller or is it slid up?

They said it was all touch with a home button, and with a 5" or 5.5" HD screen. I'm pretty sure that rules out the 'way taller' option.

I'll put that in the same surprised column as my DTEK60 getting the September patch in September

Jokes aside doubt it. BlackBerry, BB Mobile, TCL, or who ever owns it this month isn't looking to compete with the big boys.

Blackberry Krypton: suppose to be the touch version of the Keyone. Based on same architecture and cpu/gpu.

A low ok quality display 1940/1080 pixels, 4gig and a 4000amp/h complete te specs.
It si what you could read somewhere else. Since now the buzz around the Keyone is almost history, I hope the next phone will be launch in early November. It is just the keyless version of the keyone after all.....
I still dream of a double lauch for a high end specs blackberry phone at affordable price: this could be passport 2.0 and 2.1 base on dtek 60 architecture and specs based on the Passport black version form factor.
The 2.0 would a passport réédition with just and update about exterior aspect. And the the 2.1 would a new phone wi'th overall passport form factor but a only touch version. I still believe that a wide and compact screen phone is unique to the market phones actual offer. With a correct pricing and and a conservative first production number of units.

The edges are rounded, so it can fall out easier from your hands.
    No better than the competition.

This phone is due to be announced in the next few weeks. I'm surprised we haven't seen or heard more about it. TCL has done a frustratingly good job at curbing leaks.

Since this is a slab, I would expect a quick roll out as it should be far easier to produce than a PKB device.

Supposed size comparison of the Krypton with the KeyOne, using the case from AliExpress as previously detailed in this thread

I had a hands on look at a pre-production Krypton today and it looks great.

The grey edges are more charcoal grey which I prefer to the lighter grey on the original KeyOne.

From what I remember, the specs are virtually identical to the KeyOne (Black Edition). It is waterproof.

I am not sure if it has image stabilization or not. I only held it for about a minute or so.

The consensus in the room was that it felt solid.

It is slightly larger than the KeyOne and there is a fingerprint sensor at the botton in the front.

The BlackBerry logo is chrome looking on the back and the back is black. I believe that photos have already been released showing the back of the KeyOne and the Krypton.

It is scheduled to be released in November in Canada for about $50 on a 2 year contract or $0 on a 3 year.

Not sure if I will leave my Passport yet but the Krypton is a very nice phone.
