There is a lot to love about the Motion, but that 1.5inch chin is ridiculous. TCL could easily have fit a 3-row (passport-style) keyboard with a spacebar finger print sensor in that chin.

Upon seeing that chin I was angry that it didn't serve the purpose of accommodating a PKB attachment like on the Galaxy S8. Then someone told me that if they had done so it would have hurt KEYone sales. And it makes perfect sense. Why then would people settle for a 4.5 inch screen and 3505 mAh when they can have 5 inch and 4000 mAh and still get the PKB.

I doubt you would find any takers for such a monstrosity.

It would be like walking around with a Priv all day with the keyboard slid open.

Probably something to do with the fact that Samsung's slide-on-sheath-pkb-appendage sux.

You know, this DOES remind me of when i had my Passport. The iPhone 6+ had just been released and i swung by a store.

I realized quickly that the entire bottom bezel on the iPhone + (6, 6S, 7, and 8 since they are all the same design) with it's one button, was roughly the same size as the Passport's entire keyboard.

I'd also add that I think BlackBerry should have doubled down on the 3 row keyboard, even while moving to Android.

I doubt TCL has the know how and that BlackBerry has the interest to develop a new Narrower android passport.

That's the point, conite. The 1inch chin is a monstrosity. Thanks for proving my point.

Sort of how you backed up your claim that it's 1.5"?

Who is this joker? If you don't like the phone then leave, it's getting very annoying.

Interesting option for a next generation Keyone! The question is if Android OS would support/accept the combination of a physical keyboard and a virtual one like the Passport.

ala slider because having vkb&pkb on non slider is like having a 3 inch screen (usable) which nobody would do.

I don't know why they just didn't make it touch-capacitive so it could act as a trackpad or for scrolling the screen without touching it like you can do on the PRIV/KEYone's physical keyboard. It just made too much sense to implement it yet they didn't.

I would gladly buy a Motion like phone with the additional three Row keyboard like the Passport has got! The little extra size would not bother me!

It is not just a question of size it is a question of ergonomics. A taller Passport might be OK but not a longer Motion. It would too top heavy (opinion).

Honestly where do you grab a phone that has no bezels? I much prefer to grab it somewhere else than the screen when pulling it from my pocket or wherever else. Not in defense of the Motion, just in question towards the BezellessMovement.
