I want to change a few of my app notification sounds but not seeing it in settings

Hi Fred, I had a similar problem with my BlackBerry leap, but I played a lot in settings and found the solution. Go to settings>notifications>normal and above the sound option, there should be a customize app notifications hit that and chose your app. Good luck!

Android is a bit different than how BB10 worked regarding notification sounds and settings.

While you can make changes to how you see notifications from an app in the phone's "Settings", including if you want to turn them completely off, the sound it uses is determined in the app's own settings. And, not all apps give you the option to pick a custom sound. Some apps - the USA Today app particularly - also forces a vibration on you unless you turn off its sound notifications altogether.

joeldf if right. it's not built into Android at a settings level. It works on an app by app basis. Some allow for custom notifications. Others do not.

I have it set different for my email accounts. And BBM. But I don't think I'm able to for texts...

This was one of the great strengths of BB10.
