No-one it's mentioning the touchpad or trackpad capabilities of the home button on the blackberry motion. Supposedly it can be used to open and close the notification shade.

In actuality it appeared there's little talk about the Motion in general let alone some of its features/capabilities. Been following along faithfully prior, and since, its launch with the silence almost being deafening at times. Ordered mine on launch and hopefully we made the right decision, pretty sure we did though.

Which do you prefer, Bla1ze? Or better yet, will you be sticking with your KEYone?

No one is mentioning or talking about it because it's a pretty standard feature and has been on previous Android devices with fingerprint sensors. eg: Nexus 5X, 6P, Pixel, Pixel 2, S8, Essential. It's not new. Its been in place since Android 7.1.2. It's just new to you.

Motion could be a successor to my Dtek60, but it's so darn BIG!! I wonder if phones will ever start getting smaller again.

Great video B1@ze. Thanks for posting. I really think the battery life could be a winner for some people who are coming from a mid-range phone that they use for work or blended work and play.

Doubt it... more likely they'll just get bigger with folding screens.

Unlike what some here believe... the market doesn't force users to buy things, the market follows trends and provides what "most" users want. Whats funny is Apple release of the iPhone SE earlier in the year... many called it's 4" screen minuscule.

There are still a few manufacturers making reasonably small form factors. Huawei makes P10 at 5.1" and also Honor 8-9. Both very nice phones. Sony also makes a compact.

If you mean close in size to the Dtek60, although I like it, I consider it too big also. My favorite size was the Z30, maybe as big as the Dtek50, no bigger.

The agree with you on the size issue. I would be considering something like the Sony Xperia X Compact and adding the BlackBerry suite of apps. The Pixel 2 and the Huawei P10 are both reasonably small phones too.

Folks here tend to have an ideological based dislike of the iPhone . I feel the same way about Samsung.

The market is wanting small bezel phones with a high screen to body ratio.

I've been wondering about the lack of talk and reviews about the Motion. Seems very quiet. Mine are supposed supposed to to be arriving tomorrow.

Odd that Kevin or Bla1ze haven't released their reviews yet. This NDA, if that's what is stopping them, seems abnormally long.

This is a good example of why Apple's marketing plan works. So many useful Android functions that aren't considered important to mention. I found this one very useful with the notification bar at the top of that huge screen. lol

I have a Motion case and laying it under my CASED DTEK60 they are almost EXACTLY the same size.
