For those who have some of BlackBerry Motion variants (BD100-1 , BD100-2 or BD100-6), could you please tell me if it has native FM Radio ?.
I've cheched a lot of technical sites but they didn't say anything about this. It's very important for me, because I often listening FM radio.
Thanks in advance!,

I don't believe it comes with a preinstalled FM radio app, although there might be support for third party ones. The KEYone, on the other hand, has a FM radio app supplied with the OS.

Hi thurask,
Thanks a lot for your response!.
It seems ridiculos if BB Motion doesn't come with a native preinstalled FM radio.
Why BB KEYone have one and BB Motion doesn't?. I really don't understand, because practically hardware is the same between them, and it should be included...Anyway, maybe I'm wrong.
Mine doesn't FM Radio enabled here in Western Canada. Many sites showing specs claim it does have it yet every app I've tried supposedly capable says not supported. Probably as per usual it's partly a carrier thing and/or, chip isn't installed/enabled.

Hi Elky64,
Which version of BB Motion do you have?, BBD100-1 or BBD100-2 ?. Is it Factory Unlocked?. And, which carrier?, Bell, SaskTel, TELUS, Koodo or another one?...

Mines the BBD100-2 from Telus. As for unlocked, haven't a clue - don't quite understand why there isn't something within phones that can indicate whether its unlocked or not, as far as I know it ain't that simple. Either calling carrier and asking or trying another SIM (from a diff service provider) seems to be the only way.

Did you pay for it around u$s 590 (American Dollars) ?...

No native FM radio app was included on mine so that alone pretty much says it all.

Hi Guys,
Many many thanks for giving me that technical information, it's very useful to me.
However, it's a pitty that BB Motion doesn't include a FM radio. I don't understand why they didn't include it if the hardware support it!. It's really makes my angry a lot...

Hi,
having Motion BD100-6, the DualSim version.
No such a thing as native FM Radio inside.
I'am using TunelIn app for this purpose (uses the internet traffic)
--
The dual sim version will allow me to place two sim's or 1 sim + 1 SD card (or, probably Micro-SD card to be correct). There is not option to use 2 sim cards and SD card in the same time.
I believe this is because of the CRTC's new wireless code?
And because these come factory unlocked, are these versions the same as the one I buy from a non-carrier? I am asking because of the the speedy updates.

No. CRTC says nothing about FACTORY-unlocked, just that the carrier has to SIM-unlock if requested. The latter still holds you to the carrier update schedule.
Since the world phone is a lost art, here's all of the variants of the BlackBerry Motion that we know of.
As for where the phone works, consult the band list and which networks you want to use it on before going with where the phone works best; you might find a model not intended for your carrier just happens to have perfect band support, although ancillary services like WiFi calling are not guaranteed.

Question...outside the single LTE band difference between the BBD100-2 (#30) and BBD100-3 (#25), is there any difference between these two that would impact use on ATT or Verizon networks? Are those two bands the difference makers? I am currently on ATT, but if the CDMA version (BBD100-3) would be fully functional on the ATT network then I would clearly go with an unlocked version of it so I could switch between either service provider.
I got mine from Dubai last week and it is BBD 100-6. Dual Sim. Saw the models at Dubai Airport and various retailers, all were BBD 100-6. I believe this would work in NA also. I am using mine in India and it works well with two major carriers both in home and national roaming network.
Has nothing to do with BlackBerry users being hopeful. You asked for 5G compatibility 2/3 years (according to your India timeline) before release lol. Most people won't even have the phone by then. For that matter, Qualcomm won't even have their X50 NR 5G modems available commercially until 2019.
I bought a -2 from PDA Plaza... unlocked, unbranded. I've had it for a few weeks now. When they got their initial shipment, they only got one unlocked, unbranded unit. I must have lucked out.
