No idea. I think the -1 and -2 are single SIM.

I hope the dual SIM Motion is easier to import to Canada than the dual SIM KEYone! Fingers crossed that this variant will be available in a more import/export friendly market (i.e. UK)!

Dual SIM isn't a TCL marketed device if memory serves me this early in the morning. That won't change in the future since TCL doesn't want to upset carriers. If competition dictates any demand, TCL will offer in those countries where the demand is great enough to be profitable.

Good point. Optiemus had the license to sell the dual SIM device in India. That said, isn't upsetting the carriers more of a North American thing? I thought dual SIM usage was a lot more common in Europe? If so, wouldn't TCL consider making the BBD100-1 a dual SIM?

From his other tweets I think he's digging into the Motion OS rather than going off of an informant. If one were to dig into the KEYone OS they'd find a Verizon-branded variant that only exists in software. Whether or not the Motion will actually release on Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T is therefore similarly unable to be determined from software alone.

OEMs looking to develop a brand in NA will not want to create a device that can be easily imported and used on the NA carrier networks. Especially if the device will not generate enough profits to offset the lost goodwill from those NA carriers. Just look at some of the more established OEMs like Sony. I agree with you there. In my case, I never buy from carriers and always purchase my phones via direct channels or unlocked suppliers. I actually own a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact with the fingerprint scanner enabled. I wanted a very compact waterproof phone back in 2015 and my research led me to that device. When I saw that the fingerprint scanner variant was not available in North America, I was looking to import the EU model. Luckily I found a cell phone dealer that imports a lot of devices so I didn't have to leave Toronto to get it. Getting it to work on Rogers required me to futz around with the APN settings but I'm used to that given all the non-NA phones I own.

I'm happy to go through whatever hoops I need to bring a dual SIM Motion into Canada. I only hope that Roland's tweet is accurate. If a dual SIM Motion exists somewhere on this planet, I'm going to get it (provided it supports Rogers' LTE bands of course!)

Wouldn't it be much more convenient just to have ONE Variant with ALL the radios like what Apple and Motorola does? (Moto G5 Plus works on Sprint, T-mobile, etc) I'm not sure what all the logistics are and how much extra it would cost to do that, but I would think it would solve all of the stock-out issues if they just mass-produced ONE model that could work EVERYWHERE!

It would, but that would make too much sense. Apple has three variants per iPhone model anyway (international GSM, CDMA, Japan because Japan just has to be different).

Does it matter if there's a T-Mobile-branded device, other than for people who want to buy with installments? As long as T-Mobile supports all the features, like they've been doing, it's better off to buy factory unlocked for OS updates anyway. Oh, I guess there's the possibility of quicker replacements with brick-n-mortar, but it seems most carriers don't stock enough so there'll be a wait anyway.

Has nothing to do with BlackBerry users being hopeful. You asked for 5G compatibility 2/3 years (according to your India timeline) before release lol. Most people won't even have the phone by then. For that matter, Qualcomm won't even have their X50 NR 5G modems available commercially until 2019.
