    The fact that you never got updates, and now this, point to something off with your device. Neither should happen.

    Try rebooting the computer and try again.

    I feel bad, but I and others have had no issues with the Mobile Upgrade Tool.

    Try holding the power button down for 32 seconds.

    It would be helpful to know the PRD# of your variant.

    Enable USB debugging in developer options, install "minimal adb and fastboot" on your PC, and then execute "adb shell getprop" when connected over USB.

    That explains it. You have some kind of pre-production unit.

    Only the production 63739-009 and -010 get updates.
