    Are you looking to backup everything, or just certain things?

    I keep my notes backed up using Evernote. And my photos using One Drive. That's all I care about.

    I recently had to wipe an Android tablet and was pleasantly surprised at how thorough the automatic restore was. I'm using an Android note-taking app that I realized didn't have its own back up but all notes were restored.

    More and more developers are making their apps fully compliant with Google Backup - settings and all.
