Lately my battery stops charging between 97-98% due high battery temperature warning. The puzzling thing is I can get this warning between 29.7c - 33c, which is not extremely high especially given that the phone is very cool to the touch.

Has anyone seen this and or have any suggestions on how to address this issue?

I have seen in this thread reports of battery bulge and now wonder if this is how it starts.

Your input is valued as I have not been able to find any information on this subject.

Try plugging it in while the screen is on, put it on boost mode, after it has charged to the 97/98%.

Thanks for your suggestion, but that's one the things I tried prior to my post, to no avail.

I also tried the 32 second power button technique but not sure that's a feature of the Motion since I didn't get the same feedback as the PRIV.

I have the same experience with my motion before. I just updated to8.1.0 and it went back to normal again.
