Slightly less than KEYone. Let's say ₹ 32,000-ish.
price - you have to wait until TCL/BBM. cost, you have to wait until tear down (check which components they use to determine the BOM - bill of material, e.g. using sony camera would different than nikon, ziess, etc. or no name... even all might be 12 Mp... glass G5 vs dragon or what ever, etc.etc.). as for just wind it, unless you have leak, is everybody's guess.
look like editor in chief got internal source... hehehe...
So 450 usd then

That is overpriced. There is no pkb this time. TCL should price this BELOW the dtek50 original price or history will just repeat itself.
OS 10.3.2.2530 on my Q10
I'll take it!

It's only overpriced for the consumers that don't want to pay for the added BlackBerry security features, and consumers aren't TCLs main target market.
definitely its price should be less than Dtek50 else many new buyers will select something else.
get the pricing right and get the consumers specially in India.
Not sure their pricing strategy :-(

would hope to see $499 or less

TCL/BBM, what ever strategy you select, better be a winning one (make yourself some money and fight for the market share in another day). ;-)
I have had only BlackBerry since 05 and I have to tell you, it's difficult to pay what they want for these low spec'd phoned when the competition is gets as good of reviews but costs 2/3 to 1/2 as much. maybe BlackBerry will be a good day for pricing. I'm buying a phone that day and I'm getting a deal. If not with BlackBerry, some other company.
US$450-500.
On evanblass's twitter account he noted $599 CAD
As I said in another thread, my "best guess" is that they'll price it somewhat below the KeyONE, since it has no keyboard (and that's fairly expensive to actually make.)
If they price it at $499 (all prices US) it'll likely do somewhat OK. At $450 (which is where I think there's a decent chance they'll price it) it should sell quite well. And at $399 it would fly sales-wise, but they may not make any money on it, which doesn't do them (or you, if you want to keep seeing phones!) any good.
So my best guess is you see either $450 or $499.
That's not a bad price in today's market. The Samsung A series is in the mid-$300s without any warranty support and has a definitely-inferior camera (no PDAF) and either definitely-inferior or somewhat-inferior battery (depending on the specific model.)
Would a $450 ask be overpriced? Not really, with a US warranty, the hardened kernel, the built-in Hub (without a subscription payment), a very competent camera and the monster battery life. $499 would IMHO be stretching it, but will I be surprised if it's priced there? Nope. What WOULD surprise me is a "value leading" pricing schedule (e.g. $399); BlackBerry has simply never done that before, and I doubt TCL will either.
$449 will the perfect sweet spot considering its going to IP 67 water and dust resistant.
Ofcourse $399 would make it sell quite a lot more.

I would think 399.00 US would be a great target price compared to other devices already on the saturated market. But, now it’s a wait and see.
Logic would suggest the Dtek 60 price unless they've learned a lesson. So, UK : 475GBP. now it's dropped to 350 euros or less to clear stock.
My bet is 450 to 495 uk pounds.
Do you have a link? I can't find the tweet.
$450 is not bad considering this is blackberry device. Google pixel 2 for $650 and I think that’s ridiculous even with 3 years guaranteed OS & security updates.
That would be perfect
What ever it is , likely it will be too much. It needs to come in at 399 US but I bet they price it at 499 US.
Should be greater than $450
Reasonable price: 400 - 450 $
BlackBerry "we-can-still-demand-premium-price" misconception price:
600 - 800 $.
So since history repeats my guess: insane 750$
