Till date we received only one major os update which is 8.0 oreo, but other devices starting releasing Q

We can expect 9.0 or not for motion device?

Obviously you don't understand the principal that the more you advance software, the more you have to advance hardware in order to make the software run efficiently. Perhaps there is a hardware inadequacy in the Motion and Keyone that would not adequately support P, or Q.

Except there is zero hardware related reason the motion cannot receive P or Q. Until BB Mobile says otherwise, it's on a maybe list

As for Keyone, it's doubtful simply because of its age as they are unlikely tv invest the resources in that device outside of monthly security updates and fixes, but can always cross fingers.

As for PlayBook, there was no technical reason it couldn't have received bb10 as well, they were even developing a bb10-light for it but was scrapped and resources were redirected elsewhere unfortunately, similar to their abandoned roku-esque tv media streaming box

They actually tried very hard to scale BB10 down for a 1GB device, but it ultimately proved impossible. Performance was so poor that it was abandoned.

Yes, because of the similar underlying hardware. But it requires extra effort for Keyone due to the physical keyboard.
As it's technically almost a year older, its support will end sooner. At least that's the expectations. We may win the lottery and have them extend os and monthly patch updates to match motion, but that's highly doubtful.
