    As in subject

    Do you experience the same?

Before than Oreo my battery was lasting for almost two days

    Nothing changed in my apps

Now I arrive at the end of day and the battery is at 10%

I went to battery and what I do observe is that 44% of the battery has been drained by system

Am I alone with this situation?

Rather I'd say after the last two updates of system 8

    Thank you

Try a 32 second hard reset holding down the power button.

I still get two days at the very least on mine. Can't complain.

Haven't experienced this since Oreo OS updates. Battery life is still overkill.

Can you kindly hint / tip how to make a comprehensive backup that will allow a complete restore after the factory reset?

    Ok, apps I can reinstall

I mean about the HUB and the accounts and the browsers (I use Firefox and suddenly chrome)

    Thank you

Use BlackBerry Content Transfer. It will prompt you to make a backup either on the cloud, or on external storage. Then when you do the reset, run it again and tell it that it is the new device.

I was having this problem, battery drain was a major problem.

Using battery settings, I identified Gravity Screen as being the most hungry app.

Contacted the Dev, they advised a reboot. Battery has been fairly consistent with pre-Oreo, and I can go 2 days without a charge.

I do a hard reset every few weeks. This should be SOP for everyone; any device that has a processor and memory.

Try turning off background data on apps that don't require access to run properly. I found that a lot of my apps were using more background data, than foreground data, when I rarely even used the apps. If apps are doing things in the background, when you're not using them, that uses battery power.

    Hello here you my update:

    - factory reset worked for the battery drain. On my personal opinion a solution that s*cks. I have not seen that need on any Samsung Android smartphone

@oldsoul123 thank you for your hint. Maybe that is the best option , but as it happen, contemporary Blackberry s*cks on these kind of tools

And what is even more crazy, is that this was a save of a Motion restored ON THE SAME Motion phone.

WHY THINGS DON'T WORK? Easy ... it is a contemporary BlackBerry...

The email accounts have NOT been restored properly, in few words, better to reconfigure manually all of them (this was one of the most needed functions)
The HUB settings have not been restored
The contacts are restored from google too, causing to me 575 duplicates
AAANNNDDD the duplicates function ... DOESn'T WORK TOO ahahahah what a shame, it is able to handle some 10 merges at a time then it stays there with a spinner forever ... and you must click back and re launch it again
The desktop icons are not restored
    ... to be continued ...

    continuation #1
the keyboard languages have not been restored
the input languages have not been restored

I don't think it has anything to do with being a contemporary BlackBerry device. I have the Motion, and it works perfectly, but if you don't like your device, I'm sure there's someone that would be willing to buy it from you, so you can switch to a phone you want. complaining about your device serves no functional purpose.
