    I regularly have to log into public wifis at hotels or my clients'. Most of the time they are unsecured wifis with a login page. The phone does a good job detecting those and prompting me to log in. My guess is the phone opens a light version of Chrome for this.

    It's just a pain the phone does not remembers the login information. In some cases I get a choice of previously used user names (on this or other pages) but never the password. Is there any way or app that makes connecting to the wifis easier?

    Not really. They're captive portals, they don't want you saving the passwords.

    I don't see how that relates. Several Windows desktop browsers give me the choice to save those passwords, captive portal or not.
