Don't be so sensitive. Turning notifications off and placing the phone face down is hardly a disastrous suggestion is it?

Turning the phone upside down could be the best option not to see the LEDs at night since third party apps like light manager and light flow are not 100% reliable. Do LEDs going on all night consume a lot in terms of battery power?

Turn the phone upside down then.

I appreciate that not everything from BB10 has been carried over, and things are missed, but honestly, sometimes people are a problem in search of a complaint.
Not the same thing at all. In Bedside mode, BB10 offered a dim clock so it worked as a Bedside clock. Hard to read the clock when the phone is face down!

Enable what used to be called "Daydream," on Nougat it was renamed to, "Screensaver." You can have it turn on when you put the phone on charge. I use "Night Clock." https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...lin.nightdream
There are many to choose from on the play store. It takes no real effort to put the phone in do not disturb mode, then put the phone on charge, which will automatically turn on the selected daydream/screensaver. Settings->Display->Screensaver

Learn the OS, you are using it now, not BB10. There are plenty of options out there, you just haven't learned about them yet.
