I'm trying to get rid of old emails as I had set the email setting for the sync timeframe to 'forever' in all my IMAP accounts and it's taking too much storage space.
I changed the settings to 90 days and rebooted but the older emails are still there. How can I 're-sync' so that I don't get emails older than the new setting of 90 days ?

The easiest way is to delete your accounts and set them back up again under those settings.

In case anyone is interested, Blackberry has a feature from the old days that still works very well. Tap and hold on the date of the oldest message that you want to keep and it highlights all messages older than that date, the in the menu select 'delete prior'. Awesome ...

Although it's broken. It doesn't actually delete them from the server.

From the OP's post, he wasn't wanting to delete them from the server, only didn't want emails older than 90 days syncing to the phone.

The solution is to delete the account, that way all emails are gone from the phone, then resetup the account with the 90 day limit, and it should re-sync with that new limit from the start.

Not broken. It was never intended to work that way. It works the same as it did on BBOS and BB10.

Exactly this. Otherwise we would have thread of people blaming BlackBerry deleting an email they didn't want to delete when they do a big batch delete.
