SORRY FOR THE DUPLICATE THREAD. I REALIZED MY LAST THREAD TITLE WAS CONFUSING BUT COULDN'T FIND A WAY TO EDIT IT!

I had Link version 1.1.0.37 installed on my Windows 8.1 machine and it was working fine. I saw the software update notification and so updated it. I then ran into the same problem that a lot of others are having in that I get the BSOD on every install and can now no longer use Link (should have checked Crackberry first!!!).

As 1.1.0.37 was working fine on my 8.1 computer (and still is on my 8.1 laptop) I want to re-install 1.1.0.37. However, I can't find a download link anywhere for that version. Blackberry's website only gives the most recent version. Does anyone know where I can get a download for 1.1.0.37?

    Thanks.

I have the same issue, my sisters z is bricked and I was trying to fix it. Every time I connect the Z to link I get a bsod on my laptop. The z has been at 100% for over 24h with it not fully booting. Need the old link since I had no bsod issues then. Any help appreciated.

    ? Z10STL100-3/10.2.0.1791 on ATT ?

Are you on XP? Have you tried a different PC? Other OS? Windows 7/8?

Any chance of sharing the file location as I am keen to reinstall a previous working version of link as the new one doesn't work on my 8.1 windows.
    Thanks in advance.

You have the old ones? Any older one than the one released would be fine with me. Thanks in advance.

Kaspersky was my issue - uninstalled it and could then install Link which went through ok and then I reinstalled Kaspersky. All seems ok at present.

If any program doesn't want to install on Windows 8/8.1, just right-click the installer file, click "Trouble -shoot compatability", then either let Windows choose, or select Windows 7 manually (install under Win 7 or even XP compatibility mode). RARELY ever had a program that wouldn't work.

Hope that helps someone here. God bless

Thanks for the tip, however I did try that without any joy. It was my Kaspersky anti virus which was the issue.
    Thankfully all sorted now
