    it detects my phone and asks for my device password. So i enter it and then another window pops up saying blackberry Link stopped working. I downloaded the latest software and again the SAME problem. How can i backup my stuff???

    Are you on Windows or Mac? - Also which software version?

    You could always try this too if you have iTunes installed?

    Im on Windows 10. Cant see what version software of Link i have cause it wont open for me but i just downloaded it today.

    So one step Closer!! I did the iTunes name change and now got Link to open! Hoooray right? No WRONG. It wont register my device at all with the phones original cord (nothing Happens). I used another cord and it again asks me to enter my device passcode and it then keeps searching and searching and wont find my phone. Happy Times!!!

    FWIW, my Passport only connects to my Windows 7 machine if I first turn off USB access to my memory card.
