    Hi everybody!
Is there anyway to use a Computer that is hooked to the internet via cable as some kind of modem? Possibly using BlackBerry Link?
There is no WiFi in my relatives' house and I have to use the computer with a cable and I was wondering if there is any way I could actually get me phone on the internet somehow, too.
    Thanks in advance!

Bring a wireless router and make Wi-Fi while your there!
    I have done that.
Don't think a link connection would work.

There should not be any dramas. The oldest way of having mobile internet. Did it in 2000 with my Nokia 7110 on a serial cord. Blazing speeds, 14.4kb/sec wow, those were the days!

For the other way, you will need a USB wifi dongle, and use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) under Windows or some other program, so the computer runs as a Wifi Access Point (managed mode).

That should give you some fodder to work with.
Haven't done it for a while, but it's doable. Either with the phone sharing its connection or the steps above to share the computer's Ethernet via Wifi (no dongle needed if it's a laptop plugged in via Ethernet cord).

Hope that helps and God bless!
