My comment was at @Felix_9300, thanks.

Yeah, that must be it. Operator error.

    Junk is junk.
Considering how much functionality they stripped out from the "old" Desktop Manager, you'd think they could have done a better job. How long does a backup (or restore) take for you?
Only took about 5 minutes. Even was able to backup my Dev Alpha device.

Here you go - http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...p-used-780990/ - more operator errors.
Bad choices. All my contacts, calendar, etc are in the cloud. It makes it really easy to switch devices. That way they are always backed up so if you loose your phone, no loss.

Again, because it worked for you is no indication that it works for everyone.
Bad choices? No, actual user experiences.
It works for you - great. It happens to work for me. But it is kludgy with a disgraceful UI. Designed by committee.
Just read a few of the Link Doesn't Work threads. While it works for you, that's great for you.

The WP8 software on the Mac was trash until the most recent update. Apple sync always worked. The Android client on my Mac has had no problems. Have not used BB Link so can't comment

I've installed link on my windows 8 laptop with no issues. I back up my Z10 3 times with no issues. I've had both for about 30 days with no issues. Maybe have some decaf and try again.

I like the UI and find that it matches BB10. Seems logical to me. So that is just your opinion. People have to change with the times and the cloud is the future.

I have it installed, dont like it. its not easy to put music or pictures on it ( or maybe just not very intuitive). I guess i got a corrupt file when i used my 9900 file and restored it onto my Z10 and need to wipe the device. Too bad it wont let me back up my Z10 (which i have been using since launch and need to back it up).

I will agree that Link has a few kinks but after the upgrade it seems to be working well. I have to agree though that iTunes is the worst. I am now actually finding it easier and better to buy tunes from BlackBerry World and import to iTunes vs bringing iTunes into BlackBerry Z 10. I import iTunes and I lost all over my cover art. I bring BlackBerry World Music into iTunes everything works just fine. And WTF is with Apple and their every freaking 5 minute updates???

Guess you haven't tried BlackBerry Link, have you?
I've used it twice but iTunes is still worse.
