    Hi guys

I live in Brazil, So Paulo and I have a bold 9700.

My concern is not with the hardware, but with the upgrad the BB SO 10.xxx

I'd like to buy a z30 or Leap. If I buy the z30, I'm afraid with the system upgrades stop after six or ten months.

If I take the Leap, knowing it's simpler, I will receive future updates.

    What do you think?

    thank you, Cezar

Errm, likely they will both stop at the same time, the Leap may be newer but the z30 has better hardware, go for the z30 personally

Think the Z30 should atleast be supported as long as the leap if not more because it has better specifications every which way than the leap.
So personally saying, go for the Z30 (unless you hate AMOLED and prefer LCD)

Officially your carrier could stop approving updates, unofficially you should be able to manually install any issued (leaked) BB10 OS.

BUT.... they depends alot on what BlackBerry's plans are for BB10. It is being speculated that BB10 is pretty close to as good as it is going to get.

Sorry? Please don't tell me specifications don't matter. Considering the fact that we have to depend on android apps, specifications very much matter. Use a Passport and a Leap then I'll ask you whether specifications matter or not.

He ASKED about updates in six or ten months.... can you say with confidence that there will be updates that far down the road?

Have ANYTHING that points to updates past 10.3.3?

I will surely get the Z30 - Solid and great specs.
Can't go wrong with it. It is my backup device and I use it often between it and my Red Passport

    Guys

I appreciate the answers, but I'll think about what to do.

Z30 is excellent for my purpose, but the system runs out after upgrade is bad. In Brazil both Smartphone cost 400 dlares and is a little expensive to bet on the right model.

I understand what you said about the update is something right or uncertain

Maybe I buy a Z10 and I get to wait something new in the market about BB Os.

    Thank you

Well the Classic, Leap, and Z30 is basically the same os and radio, so the updates should be the same.
