Going to keep an eye out here for your review. I just sold the Q5 I was using as a backup phone, and now I can't decide if I wait for the blue classic or get the Leap.

OK have now spent some time setting up email accounts, twitter, calendar etc

Gotta say that I am very surprised by the phone as it seems to be very responsive.

The screen is very clear, keyboard very good, have been using an iPhone 6 plus and I am much faster on this.

Can't comment on much else until tomorrow when I have used the phone in a work situation but very much looking forward to it.

Also very pleased that the desk charger that I bought for the Passport fits the Leap.

How did you get it? I thought pre-orders were to be released at the end of the month through ShopBlackBerry. I'm assuming you're either in Canada or the UK then.

    - Does the device feel chunky?
    - How is the screen clarity and brightness?
    - Would you know if the glass is made of gorilla glass 3?
    - Can you try running an app that requires the Gyroscope sensor? What happens?
    - What device are you coming from? Are you using this device as your daily driver?

    OK quick update

I have been using the Leap since it came off charge this morning at 07.30.

Use have been average with a few calls, checked and read a few emails and battery has just hit 25% and I am hoping that this will bed in and improve.

Just to answer a few questions I received the phone through Shop Blackberry yesterday, the phone is good to hold and the screen is very clear and good in daylight.

In the past I used a 9900 as a daily driver and have recently been using an iPhone 6, while in between trying to get on with a Passport and a Classic and I certainly prefer the experience so far on the Leap, I just hope that the battery improves as I don't want to be beholden to charging during the day.

I will let you know how the battery performs over the coming days

Our BlackBerry rep came to my work yesterday and we got to demo it in person... it's a nicely built device. I'd say it's a decent replacement for the Z10. However, i'm not happy that NFC isn't built in. Nor is there Slimport or HDMI. But... Miracast is still there, which makes all the difference to me. Altogether, decent device. And for that price, who can complain?

There's a compass app on every BlackBerry 10 device, preinstalled.

Don't you mean magnometer? Compass normally works on the earth's magnetic field? Gyroscope is an orientation sensor I thought... for detecting if phone is tilted face up/down, turned side to side etc

Make up your minds. Does it or doesn't it have a compass app, and can you turn the phone from landscape to portrait view?

That would be awesome. The least the leap could have a one up over the z10 would actually be a better battery life
