Any comments, advice and thoughts would be most welcome. I currently own a Z10 STL 100-3 running 10.3.1 .1581...and it will be two years old soon.

Is the Leap worth buying and replacing the Z10 or would have counsel waiting a while longer until another more robust all touch BlackBerry is released?

Depending on your carrier, you might be just as well served with a z30. Dunno

From what I've heard it's nearly identical to the Z10 on the inside with the absence of NFC. I would like to hold out till BlackBerry makes a new flagship all touch but my mobile is going on 2 years old now. There are some promising android phones but I like the BB touch keyboard.

No way. The only thing it has is miracast and much better battery than z10. In all other cases z10 is very much better

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will definitely wait a while longer until hopefully BlackBerry puts out a true replacement for the Z10 or Z30.

    From design perspective no...
The z10 in white is the sexiest phone to date!
I would sell my soul for a new, z10 design like phone with up to date hardware

The Leap is just about the same size as the Z30 in dimensions just slightly taller, if your looking for a 5 inch touch screen you can pick up a brand new Z30 for just about the same price as the Leap is suppose to be projected to be selling for. I know where my cash would be going if I was reading posts. The Leap is just a modified Z3 with LTE. I'll be picking up the Leap if and when it comes to Canada just to add to my collection. i believe it'll be an okay low end device. I just think the Projected price tag might just push people towards getting the Z30.
Which we Z30 owners already know is a great device.

On my reliable Z30 leaked 10.3.1.1581

All a matter of preference. For me, I would buy it. I would love to have a bigger screen and a bigger battery. The z30 people say is awesome and I believe them but no lcd is a big no no for me. The amoled on the q10 gave me a headache.

So if I can have a nice and bright lcd with a better battery, I'm there.

If you fancy things like the quad core gpu of the z30 then go with that one. Im holding out only cuz I want the bigger processor but on an lcd screen.

    Zhe specs are 3years old.
Dual core ok it runs.amooth for the stuff it was build... but no WiFi 5GHz only 2.4 GHz. No miracast like z10 or wifi direct and more... This sucks really bad.
It must be priced at 200$ ....this device will be the same sh** like the z3..
    This.is no high end.device.but we have 2015!

The z30 is the current upgrade for the z10, and at 225 for GSM, it is not that bad. If you have Verizon it is expensive though.

Z10 never had miracast or wifi direct... we never had USB OTG either. So the Z30 is an upgrade over both. High end device is the slider that's coming up next... so at least you can choose to not use the physical keyboard.

Z30 and upcoming slider are the closest thing to an upgrade right now.

3 fashionista phones do not all Samsung phones make. And there's still Jolla.

I already went to S5 last month.

Appearance-wise Leap is very much similar to Z3, I am surprised why it is not being said / projected so…. Thus, it is step-up from Z3 and at the same time its several specifications gets a lot closer to Z30. Also the already settled price for Z30 comes closer to upcoming Leap’s expected price.

But compared to Leap, Z30 is a premium device with Super AMOLED screen, faster processor, stereo speakers, better wi-fi capabilities, GLONASS (for GPS), USB Host functionality and HDMI port. If I had to buy a new device in that price range, I would prefer Z30.

What about Leap vs Z10 with extended battery?

Since the internals are the same, it would just be the screen size difference. A 3800 mAh battery in the z10 should outlast the Leap's battery life.
