What effects does it have on a Leap user with the missing sensors compared to a Z10 or Z30 user?

What would actually be "crippled" in terms of app usage or what specifically cannot be.done on a Leap compared?

Gyroscope - without it you can't use compass and Magnetometer is also needed. It won't cause any problem for her games or anything else.
Have you seen anywhere that leap has gorilla glass?

It will be there. Even z3 doesn't have Gyroscope but advance interactions work. Those depend on mainly proximity sensor and accelerometer.

That's good to know. Regarding the compass, wouldn't it still have a compass that is solely based on GPS?
Makes me wonder if the Gyroscope is really that important. They must have put some thought into this by leaving it out.

So can you use maps on a Z3 or he new Leap? It would be kind of pointless to NOT have BlackBerry Maps, since it's a business phone and business people travel....

It should be there. They haven't mentioned nothing about gps so I don't know. But it must be there

The specs on the BlackBerry site does say it has the typical assisted, autonomous and simultaneous GPS.

    So, it has that.

So that means there will be a compass app, just solely working off GPS.

Maps will work on leap. There is no NFC, Gyroscope so you can't use compass and fitness apps which require Gyroscope. For example - runtastic pro.
There is no HDMI port but there is a converter available which will help. But miracast is available for leap through which you can play mobile videos directly in a wi-fi TV.

It won't work. Go to BBVE and test gyro you will understand why compass needs it

OK, so how does this work exactly. How do you invoke it. Does it have to be specific content and does it require a special router and/or TV?

Your TV should be wifi enabled and than connect to the tv wifi and than use miracast to play device videos in tv.
I have yet to try in laptop. Hope it works.
I f you have z10 go to settings -media sharing

Z10 does not have Miracast. What you said is DLNA. I use that often.
I was more wondering about the actual Miracast feature of the Leap. My TV doesn't have WiFi. It has internet via ethernet cable connected to my router which has WiFi.

You would need a Miracast receiver hooked up to your TV.
