Coming from a Z10 that has served me well since launch. The Leap is almost a carbon copy spec wise, but that doesn't bother me. Double the battery capacity and a 5" display is nice to have

That's nice to hear I was fortunate to get my hands on a white one for a couple of days and really enjoyed the time I spent with the device.

Even though specs wise, it's the same as my old Q10, it seems to run a lot smoother than my Q did as of late.

Always nice to see positive information here. It's normally always problems.

Yeah, the Leap may not have a spec bump but it does have a 1,000mAh battery boost as well as a nice 5.0" inch display. Both will make your life easier.

It does have a newer GPU than the z10, this does help performance. Z10 used the adreno 225 and Leap uses 305

The bigger battery really makes a difference coming from the Z10.

Bigger screen is nice too. I prefer LCD over AMOLED so the 30 wasn't on the table for me.

Incorrect, the Leap uses the same Adreno 225 that's in the Z10

I think you getting the Z3 mixed up with the Leap. The Z3 does indeed have a Adreno 305.

Congrats! The only question I ask is "Why!?" Leap is a Z10 except for a bigger screen and a bigger battery. The Leap's battery... once it dies, it's dead. The Z10's batery can be exchanged when it dies so that's a nice thing For me, I only see the Leap beating the Z10 screen wise (Size) but not for any other reason.

I ordered the leap last night, picking it up from the ups store tomorrow. I have owned the Q10, Z10 and Z30, looking forward to trying out the leap.

The battery on the leap lasts me an extra day and a half compared to the z10...also ships with 10.3.1 out of the box...which should make the update to 10.3.2 a whole lot easier...the expansion slot is upgradable to 128 gig which is a huge bonus for storage..dodnt get me wrong the z10 is a nice device but the leap is definitely an upgrade..the only drawback is its only picks up 2.4 WiFi..but it picks up more lte bands...(each to his own I guess)

    So, I'm guessing you don't own a;

    Q5
    Z3
    Passport
    Leap
    Any iPhone
    Galaxy S6 / Edge

List goes on. It's not really a big deal to replace your device after 2 - 3 years. It becomes boring having the same device for years and years. So it's actually a good thing I always look forward to the next unboxing and particularly enjoyed unboxing my Leap.

Wow! So good on guessing! Yup, don't own any of those devices (Currently). It's always fun to unbox new devices whatever it might be. 2-3 years lol... every year for me.

The very reasons I picked one up for my wife. I had installed various leaks on her Z10, and it did run better with better battery life, but the Leap is set up that way right out of box. The $275 price unlocked didn't hurt either.

She's the only person I know that didn't really want a bigger screen device LOL

Passport. If people understood how good this device is....

I am shocked at how good the leap actually is. I don't know how BlackBerry made such a good device at this price point. If someone is reluctant to purchase this device as I was, I highly recommend it.

Same here. Have had my space-grey one...LOL...for two months now and this phone is a beast for me in terms of productivity and usage.

I still carry the BlackBerry MP-2100 mobile charger with me just in case, but I have had no occasion to use it. Not since I got the Leap. Prior to the Leap, with my Z10, I had to use the mobile charger daily!

This phone tires me out. Even with mixed use, video, audio, emailing, Web browsing...I cannot drain the damn battery. The most I managed to do was bring it to Battery Savings Mode...20%...before I was freaking exhausted...

So as a regular, non-techie or expert customer, I think this phone has proven a worthy successor for my Z10.

Cartman says: Screw you guys I'm going home!

Played around with a Leap yesterday. Nice looking phone. My only two issues are the speakers, and I found it quite slippery.
A small third is no NFC but I like it. My iPhone loving spouse was in awe playing with it also.

They laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at them because they're all the same. 

Finally saw a Leap at the Rogers store today. It was actually powered up on demo mode, wow.

Not a bad phone. It's definitely got some size to it. It felt very big but not heavy. I think if I needed a new phone I would be happy with it.

Curious why didn't keep it a nano Sim, that is a hassle to have to use an adapter.

Believe it's based off Z10 guts. If they had leftover parts, Micro SIM makes sense.
