To be honest I'm not sure why some people in here say it's ugly.
I like it. Yeah the specs are old but the z10 still is a good phone so will the leap be..

Total disappointment, I had Z10 and I liked it, I have Z30 and I love it! It's faster and moves smoother, why would I go back to Z10? I paid almost 250$ for Z30, why would I pay more for inferior specs? Why not a quad core, higher res screen at 400$ instead of a bigger Z10 at 275$? Except passport, nothing new...c'mon BlackBerry, you can do more than recycle!

I agree with the purpose of this device (aim it at the cheap corporate buying departments). I think that the miscalculation that Chen made on this one, was that if he just went with a Snapdragon 400 series (say the 410), it would have had a minimal cost, but he would have been able to capture all of the Z10 people waiting to upgrade. The BB10 OS really needs more cores (for android), but perhaps even more importantly, it needs a better graphics chip to make the screen renders as smooth as the iphone. Wish he had done that...

    It's a good successor to the z10

Even though I love my current Z10, and I just seem to be wanting better battery power, I cant agree with you. This will not suffice. No sigar I say. Would be nice to see Geekbench compare the two.

Would like to see better hardware and more power.

If they are going to make a phone like this at least make it affordable for instance the q5 is ridiculously priced right now its crazy for a low end device

If you are a Z10 user, the Leap is an upgrade. Yeah the screen is low resolution but it's a 5 inch display. The battery alone is worth the upgrade.

Display, weight, NFC, gyro, compass sensors are not available in leap. I don't see anyway it is an upgrade to z10

Looks really nice imho visually but its specs are not great.....its biggest issue is it should be sub 200.

I think it will do the job for its intended market...BES 12 units to be purchased in bulk by business...business that can't afford 100 classics or passports...or Z30...this is "business affordable"...so individuals, quit knocking it...go out and get your passports cause you're only buying one...not bulk units... :-)
