For those of you who have moved from a QWERTY BlackBerry to the Leap (I have a Q10 that is well-worn and used - keyboard is now starting to crack), how good is the virtual keyboard, when compared to the likes of the iPhone and Windows Phone keyboard?

    Thanks in advance...

Very good when using two hands. Using one hand WP keyboard is much better cause of swype

Anybody notice the extra weight of the Leap? At 170 grams it's significantly heavier than my iPhone 6 (129 g.) or even the Z10 (137 g.).

Yeah its got some beef to it...my wife has got the IPhone 6 and it is definitely heavier..but it feels better in the hand then the IPhone especially the rubberized feel of the back gives u good grip!! One thing for sure the battery life is outstanding!!

Got mine about a month ago so far is an okay device, will do what's intended to do, coming from my red PP and a previous P9982 by the way looks like an expensive device, know why cause nobody knows what it is and that's pretty unique, I like that

Don't underestimate the Leap. BlackBerry did something here that's special despite some missing bells and whistles. I have a Passport but I'm really liking the way the device performs. I bought the Leap two weeks ago as a back up to my Passport so far no complaints other than the small speaker on the back of the device. Z30 sounds better but that's about it. Good Job BlackBerry.

that's not true I have a friend who owns an iPhone 6 plus I wanted to see which phone was lighter my z10 was light as a feather and the iPhone was much much heavier ( I tried it with more than 4 people)

I'm in California and bought a black Leap in May. It's a brilliant device. It's so nice to have an alternative to Apple and Samsung.

The iPhone 6 Plus is heavier at 172 g, but not the regular 6 I'm talking about.

Can't speak to the WP keyboard, but IMHO compared to the stock Android and iPhone keyboards I like the BlackBerry virtual keyboard more. I'm finding that the adjustment from physical to virtual wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

I was very reluctant to switch to an all touch, but I really wanted to try a device with the 16:9 aspect ratio seeing that apps are generally configured to run in that mode.
The Leap is quite a decent phone.

Just ordered one from bandh.com. First one from Amazon was defective. Then I bought one from shop BlackBerry, that one is fine but hated paying extra for sales tax and shipping. This time I paid $275 flat (no shipping cost or sales tax) from bandh.com! They sell Classics, Passports, Q10's and Q5's too.

I just ordered the white version today from shopblackberry it was on sale too! I'm going to give the passport a break and see if I can get used to the touch screen and form factor my plans are to sell both the leap and the passport and get the slider but if it's running Android fully that might be a deal breaker for me I like the bb10 home page too much
