    Hi friends!

I discovered something strange with my Leap and I don't know if that's normal or defective?

Every couple of days I restart my device to clear out the memory.
But after every start the battery level jumps "up" or "down" - sometimes at 10%.

    Example:
Before restart the battery is at 90% - after restart it's at 78%.
    or
Before restart the battery level is at 70% - after restart it's at 82%.

But every time it differs at that level and I have never had that with my Classic.
Is that normal because of the bigger battery?
Or is there something wrong with the micro controller at the battery?
    Anyone noticed that too?

Thanks for all replies in advance!

No, i've had the same experience with my Passport ever since the .2876 software update, and that's the biggest BB10 battery there is.
i just let it go to 0% before charging it again, so i'm hoping it will be more accurate from now. i had been losing 10% overnight and last night i only lost 4%, so it looks promising...

I hoped that I could avoid draining my battery to 0%
Read a lot that it would harm the charging cylces - but I should give it a try!

    Thanks again!

It's kinda frustrating not to know how full the device "really" is.
I already tried to restart it 3 times in a row and it jumped like:
    Before restart: 86%
    After 1. restart: 78%
    after 2. restart: 87%
    and after last restart 83%.

Outside of "breaking in" a new battery, i hate draining a lithium battery, too, but i've found it a useful remedy when a battery is being weird.

I also have been using a Classic for exactly a year now.
Never had this "problem" with it - that's why I wasn't sure.
After every reboot the battery drain was max. 1% (which is fine for me because the CPU has a lot of work with that)

Also I always try to avoid deep discharges (below 30%).

My Classic is just shy of one year old and it's my weekday device - i don't know if its battery life is irregular because it's basically on a charger all day; i don't like letting the battery go below 80% without reason. The Passport only sees weekend use, but is on all the time. i can't be sure cold weather doesn't play some part in this because i've noticed the iPhone also has weird battery percentage readings based on very high or low ambient temps, even going as far as complete discharge in 0C/32F for no reason.
    i dunno.
