Bought my KeyOne from Selfridges (Carphone Warehouse) unlocked. Blackberry prides itself on keeping up to date with the Android security updates. Still on April 2017 security patch. Where is June or even May for that matter?!

The Canadian devices are on the June patch, every other KEYone is on an April patch. Why, I don't know.

If I bought my KeyOne from Vodafone, Verizon et al then I'd understand Blackberry needing carrier support. But anyone buying an unlocked phone should get the updates direct. Come on Blackberry!

Cut them some slack, gluing the screen on is too hard, let alone a consistent update schedule.

The screen is all TCL. For what it's worth, my KeyOne's screen is fine.

However, as Blackberry is a software company now, I assume they're providing the updates?

We are waiting.

I'm still on April 5th. I didn't even get the second April update with bug fixes. AAK879 is what I'm on!

Unlocked device, UK purchased (CPWH) on day of release and still on April's patch as well. I have no doubt we'll fall into the update schedule at some point, but I'd like it soon now please!

stupid Q, my understanding from Blaz1e, is that the carrier has to push out the updates. So if you are still on say April update and your phone is comprised is their any fall back to go after your carrier??

So much for going with an unlocked phone, your still stuck waiting on T-mobile to push out your updates. You can forget monthly security updates, so what's the use? I guess you'd be held hostage using the Google Pixel unless you go with Google's Project Fi, which may be the way to go if you want to be kept current.
