I've tried scanning in my fingerprint to use as unlock. When doing so I am made to also set up pin. After that, every time my phone needs to be unlocked it asks for pin... never for fingerprint. What am I doing wrong?

How are you unlocking it? On mine, I just place my thumb on the spacebar and it automatically unlocks. If I double-tap the screen or press the power button, it asks me for the PIN.

Try just placing one of your registered fingers on the spacebar when you want to wake it up.

Are you using any soft lock methods? Try just the power button.

if you wake it by other than the fingerprint sensor it will ask for the pin. just hit the sensor, it will still work.
