I want to buy an adapter so that I can stream to my television. The adapters that I am finding are USB 3.1 type C to HDMI. I have no idea what the spec is for my Keyone.

    Any suggestions?

    Good question.

    I found this:

"Requires an HDMI capable display, a standard HDMI cable and a USB Type-C device with video capabilities. Your device must have a video enabled USB Type-C port, compatible with the USB Type-C alternate mode specifications for video. Not all USB Type-C devices support video, so check with your manufacturer."

And found the BB Mobile specs which indicated that it does have usb 3.1 type C:

Check the end of the second column under Performance.

Is there a reason you are not just Casting? Works great to my ChromeCast and to my MiBox (also ChromeCast).

The keyone doesn't support HDMI out via USB-C.

You'll need to use Chromecast or another streaming solution.

apparently it does support HDMI out if first you connect your keyone to an otg type c to a, and then to a displaylink supported docking station with the displaylink app.

Cannot personally confirm, but you can search threads for where some other guy suggested that he did this and it worked.

Here's a link that may prove useful:

edit: You're of course going to need a usb to hdmi cable of some sort at some point as well.

This is very frustrating. How can I output from my phone to my TV when I don't have WIFI? I want to stream DAZN when I'm tailgating. Chromecast needs a wifi network, I've looked into how to do it without WIFI and there are a A LOT of hoops to jump through, ie: having 2 devices and setting up a hotspot, is there not an easy way I can do it with cables?

I've never tried it. How do I enable this on the Keyone and the Chromecast?

It is easy I think and I recall doing the following.
You will need a second android device initially - tablet will do - with Google Home.
Set up on BlackBerry a wifi hotspot.
    Connect tablet to that hotspot.
Plug in Chromcast, then connect it's power USB.
Wait for boot up to finish.
Use Google Home on tablet to connect Chromcast to the BlackBerry wifi hotspot.
Once up and running with cast TV, all can be shut down.
Next time start BlackBerry hotspot, then switch on Chromcast and it will connect to hotspot.
Watch TV/Iplayer etc over network data.
