I'm multilingual and thus have set the VKB to always show even if the PKB is active, but it is quite annoying to have the keyboard back light constantly on when I'm in bed doing some last work, checking the internet, checking Instagram and other apps.

I don't mind the lights of the toolbar as they can be useful.

I suppose a lot of non-multilingual people also have set the VKB to always show because they like doing some last stuff while in bed or surfing the internet in stead of counting sheeps. It is hard to use the PKB when lying in bed, you'll actually have to sit in bed to be able to type properly.

IMHO there should be some kind of shortcut on the PKB or VKB that instantaneously let you terminate keyboard backlight until you physically turn it on again.

Maybe have a toggle for this option under:
Settings>Languages & Imput>Physical >Keyboard
and have such a shortcut being active only when you have PKB and VKB active simultaneously.
