    Hi guys!

I'm using an SD card formatted as external with my KEYone from day 1, and indeed, I got the infamous "SD Card unexpectedly removed" error 2-3 times a day. The strange thing is that I can still access the card after this message pops out (usually when the phone idles). I'm currently using a Samsung PRO 32GB card but had the same result with two different Kingston cards.
I google'd the error to find out that this is a widespread error affecting several brands and phone models since years.

    I already tried the following:
    • remove and re-insert the card
    • format the card (both in the phone and in a PC)
    • a battery pull reset (long press the power button)

Any tips or recommendations are highly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    R.

Stop. This is a known issue with some SD cards. There will be an software update next week that will fix this.

Especially SanDisk Cards have this problems....

Just for the sake of it, test your sd card with this app :
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...humanlogic.sdi

    Post back the results. 😀

This as worked for me in the past. Might of been just a fluke that it solved my issue but it's worth a shot. If not I would try a different card

    Unmount your card
    Remove it
    Turn off your phone
    Re-insert your card
    Power on
    Unmount again
    Mount as external storage.

The app wasn't compatible with nougat?

Or the sd card is not legit?

I think it's not compatible with Android N, since I can't install to my Galaxy S7 nor my KEYone, but it's OK with my DTEK60 and PRIV.

Okay, so did you test the sd card using the dtek60 or priv, just to test the legitimacy?

Not yet, but I'm pretty sure it's legit, since it came from an official Samsung distribution partner. Not to mention this error was also present with two other cards (I used one of those with my DTEK60 for months without any problem).

Well then, it's not just me.
However, I'm still not sure this is a hardware problem.

Hopefully it's not, I am in India and I imported from Ebay by paying heavy price. Did you try formatting the memory card from device to see if this is happening?

Yep, formatted in both the device, and with my PC (full format option) with no luck. I'm also pretty sure this is not a problem with the card itself, as I got the same error with 3 different microSD cards.
