    Hi all

    Loving this phone. It is immense!
    I was wondering about sounds. I have set my Whatsapp to play a certain sound when a message comes through. However, when a message comes through it just comes as the normal Essential sound. Am I missing something?

    Here's a pic of the notification menu for one of my hub email accounts.

    Does your whatsapp settings show the sound profile you've chosen under the sub heading 'notification sound'?

    This is what shows but makes no mention to sound settings.

    Is this from hub? Try opening the app and going into the settings from there.

    In Whatsapp itself it shows as this. Just appears that when a message comes through it doesn't make the allocated sound.

    Do you have the ringtone in the notifications folder or ringtones folder? I put all my ringtones in both folders, so you might try that.

    You have vibrate as "default". Maybe that is the issue? Does it vibrate when you get a new message or just nothing?

    It literally does nothing I've set it to. Just the standard notification sound.

    I think the last thing I could offer is maybe to uninstall the app, reboot, reinstall the app. If you don't lose anything by doing this, I would give it a try

    Maybe try uninstalling whatsapp, turn off device, wait a few minutes , turn on, and install whatsapp again.

    That's a basic blackdroid initial response.

    If I want to use custom tone then install the Total commander and browse using this file manager.

    BlackBerry has the patent to access settings from an app. Unfortunately android isn't their o.s so everything has to be accessed the the device settings.

    Settings, notifications, apps.

    Its an android/ios thing. Most problems need to be solved by leaving the app you're in and going into the o.s settings.
