Recently it's been noticed that even when you turn Android tracking off, Google is STILL tracking you, though they claim it's to be better direct traffic etc. What I'd like to know is with the new Blackberrys, is this still true? I'm about to move away from my Z10, but if Google is still tracking me, BBy security is pretty much toast, and I don't see a reason to continue then.

Do you feel the same way about your carrier? I ask because that's the data Google used. They tapped into data that already exists that you have no control over. Sure, they shouldn't have done it but honestly, it means nothing for BB security. It's being done anyway and Google has now taken steps to disable it on their end... meanwhile, your carrier is still doing it. In fact, they're pretty much legally required to.

Google has been collecting Android users' cell tower location, but why?

Google was born from the MK Ultra project. Microsoft got the ever living shiz-nit sued out of them for doing 1/10 of what Google does every day visa vie Android.
