I was looking for one of my ringtones (one I'd created) and Device Search had no trouble finding the file. it doesn't tell me WHERE on my phone the file lives.

I did download a file manager but have been unable to find the file through it.

Is there something I'm missing in Device Search or do I need a better file manager? Recommendations?

You may be able to check the settings of the app you used to create the ringtone to see which folder it stores the created files in. And then navigate to that folder via your file manager.

Thanks Craig428. I created the file on my Passport and it was transferred over to my Keyone. I'll see if I can find it again on the PP.

Someone likely knows where that data is stored specifically after the transfer. Hopefully they can jump in here to help.

If you find it on your PP again, maybe you could throw it in the cloud & d/l onto the K1. And then move it to the ringtone folder via your file mgr.

Solid Explorer paid is an excellent file manager. It would be ideal if BlackBerry brought their simple to use File Manager application over to Android. I understand why they haven't since there are numerous available applications in Google Play, but as a software company, perhaps sometime in the future they will. For now I have Solid Explorer.
