I am loving my k1 so far, and have had zero issues apart from the device restarting often. When I say often, I mean upwards of 10-15 times per day. I've only had the device for 3 days now, but am just wondering if this is the software "breaking in" or something others have experience with.

Which variant of the phone do you have? What software version is it running?

Did this start after installing a particular app?

It's been going on since I got the phone and did a transfer of all apps from my old android phone. I'm on BB100-1 and have android 7.1.1. It usually restarts when it has a slight hiccup and pauses in switching between tasks/apps

No I haven't. If I do this, will I be able to retrieve all my files and apps afterwards?

Sounds like something got jumbled when transferring the stuff. Do you have a memory card in the phone? That should have your pictures and such on it. Your apps will be able to be downloaded again from Google Play.

Just a fyi device transfer tools are rarely a good idea... They often screw up in strange ways, especially if you are transferring between two different android versions.

So I still have the issue. Should I do a factory restart but set everything up manually without the device transfer options my k1 gives me on initial setup?

Yes, if you do the device transfer you are likely reproducing the problem even though you wiped. Only other thing I could think of if that doesn't fix it is maybe a bad flash of the Rom.

Update: so I manually set up the device last night and downloaded everything over again, and so far the phone has restarted on its own 2 times in the hour I've been awake. Any other ideas to solve this issue?
