Okay guys, I purchased a code from Blackberry SourceCode yesterday which I will hopefully get soon as they indicate 3-12 hours. The problem I am having is even before I get the code. As the instructions say you insert a SIM card from a different network and it should prompt for an unlock code. I have a Bell phone and I inserted my Fido SIM card and absolutely no prompts or anything at all. No where I can enter the code.

What gives? The status shows emergency calls only and no reception/internet but also no prompt of entering unlock code. @BlackberryCodeSource

Has your Fido SIM been activated? If not it may simply be that your Bell phone was never actually locked. The CRTC has banned carrier locked phones as of December 2017.

    Hey there

    Please try this
Also please email us for support and we can help you quicker

    Please read it carefully

Turn on your Blacberry KeyOne with the original simcard inserted.

Once it is on then Open the sim tray(while the phone is on) and insert an unaccepted SIM card in your Blackberry KEYOne – (One that's not from the network your phone is locked to)

Select yes when prompted if you want to enter an unlock code

Enter your Blackberry KEYOne's unlock code and press enter.

Your Blackberry KEYOne is now permanently Unlocked and ready for use on any network!

I have sent you an email in reply to your message. But yes, I followed exactly what you said but I do not get a prompt that says enter MEP unlock code! There is absolutely no prompt other than when I switch the SIM card the top says something like SIM card changed, restart device to apply new settings. And once I do that still the same thing, no prompt for unlock code and no reception at all.

What happens if you chose not to restart the device?
