Do you go to the AT@T Software Update in Settings? After checking once, it says mine is up to date and I need to wait another 24 hours to check again. In Alaska. Build number: AAN596. Security: 5Aug

Push it again, mine said the same thing. It should allow you to check again. Even if it doesn't looks like it.

In the past, one could sometimes fool that date/time check by changing the time/date of the phone manually, check and eventually reset the time/date correctly.

I've pushed it several times, it doesn't pause to search and immediately shows "Current software is up to date". The first time I tried, it did take some time to search.

Thanks. I'm probably the only person in this time zone that has the AT&T model.

Either of you have the ATT K1? If so, is the update available?

I got mine through Best Buy, but I use AT&T Service. I'm pretty sure my K1 is up to date... Sept security patch and AAO472 build, I've had them for a while. 😎

Unlocked silver. Did you wait until AT&T offered the K1 before getting one?

I was worried about screen adhesive on the first batch models then when ATT came out with it, seemed cheap and easy to give it a shot.

You probably got the update from BBMo since you are not locked to a carrier.

Happy for you James. What's your build number?

I just checked for update again. No joy. Locked from checking another 24 hours.

I disabled a bunch of Goo stuff. Perhaps thats the problem.

Tim, click on "check for updates" 2 or 3 times even if it says "check again in 24 hours". Just do it.

You can use the TCL Mobile Upgrade Tool (link to download is in the autoloader thread I believe) to get the latest AT&T update, but it will wipe your device. That's what I ended up doing because I was tired of waiting.

This should work: Go into settings, date and time. Manually set the date to two days from now. Then, go to software updates, check for updates, and it should work. The AT&T device has software that only lets the phone actually check once per day. If, for whatever reason, on the first attempt, it doesn’t connect with the server, it won’t check again for another 24 hours. This is true, even though the phone doesn’t tell you that and it just says “Software is up to date.” It really hasn’t checked. Let us know what happens.
