Sure it would, provided the custom rom dev(s) included them.

Yes of course. Although for lesser-known devices, you don't usually get them every two or three months.

But will it worry your employer if you expose any of their information or client information? Is this a real type career job where you're held responsible for best practices type behavior from privacy and security perspective?
Naw I'm fine. Plus I found out during my training one of the 3rd party calling apps I can just use on my computer so I didn't really need to get the keyone could have kept the classic lol. But to be honest glad I ended up getting it after not using these devices for a few years now I much prefer the keyone. It's been a workhorse for me so far and it's a 3 year old device.

I got lucky to cause cause it literally feels like a brand new phone. I could not find one scratch on it. Literally feel like I went to the store and brought a brand new phone. it's funny too cause I had the key 2 but for some reason I just like this model better. It just feels more comfortable in the hands and I just love the PKB

Hey Conite - along the lines of what you have been advising - did you buy the Nokia you were planning? If so - how do you find it?

I ended up with the Pixel 5.

For the same price, I felt that it had the nicer screen, is more compact, and has a camera that is second to none.

I'm really enjoying my Pixel 4a.
I hope to see you over on the other side and read your sage comments and impressions.

I still have Tapatalk on my KEY², so it could be either at the moment.

That said, I used a Z10 and then a Z30 between Feb 2013 and the Passport SE in Aug 2015 (as primary).

And then I used a DTEK60 between Nov 2016 and June 2017 (after the Passport and Priv).

I just heard that the key2 and LE got new security updates.

Did you get it? Would you make your use it as DD again?

Yes. I can now use it a bit longer.

That said, my Pixel 5 will arrive in a couple of weeks, so I'll run both for a while.

At the same price as the Nokia 8.3, the Pixel 5 made more sense to me.

Pixel is definitely the better buy... If I was buying at this time I would get the S20 fan edition... A bit more money but it's worth it and I like to have the option for memory card expansion...

I like the smaller form-factor of the Pixel 5, the extra 2GB of ram, the faster/better updates, the stock Android, the better low-light camera, and the better battery life.

The Pixel is a good phone no doubt, but I would prefer the 865 processor and 120hz screen for a more premium feel... Samsung's take pretty good photos at night too... Just my opinion, enjoy your Pixel 5... :-)

I picked up the A71 5G with the same SOC as the Pixel 5 in August. Excellent all touch device and moves around with the 6GB phenomenally well. The 4500 mah battery provides exceptional 2 day life for my use easily. And the killer 6.7 in screen is surprisingly more compact than I anticipated in the devices form factor. I traded my S9 in on an across the board T-Mobile promo only paying 42 dollars of tax. This gave me guaranteed OS updates through Android 13 and 4 years security patches.

My dad is retired and uses several devices as a hobby, his most recent iOS being an iPhone 11 Pro. (He will certainly update to the 12 because he can) He traded in an older S9 direct to Samsung on a flash sale a couple weeks back and a military promo and ended up paying less than 100 for a new mate red Samsung S20 FE. It has a smaller 6.5 in screen but maintains the 4500 mah battery of my A71 5G. It has IP cert and wireless of course. The latest deals and trade ins definitely make the S20 FE with the 865 silicon a true flagship killer. Despite some people's preference for "stock" Android I think Samsung and its latest devices and enhanced support window are going to take One Plus and Pixel to the woodshed as far as sales go now and moving forward. Pixel I believe, without a large support window, will become a niche all touch for purists.

The 4a 5G seems like a better value for Pixel consideration with the same SOC as the Pixel 5 and A71 5G. A smaller battery in the larger screened 4a 5G at 3800 vs Pixel 5 4000 is odd tho.

Conite how do you believe a 4000 mah battery in the Pixel 5 with 90hz refresh will outperform the S20 FE with 865, 4500 mah battery and the ease to switch from 120hz to 60hz?

    Most reviewers seem to concur.

A 6" 90Hz screen and a sipping 765G should go a lot farther than a 6.5" 120Hz screen with a 865. Plus the Samsung has all the extra bloat on top of stock Android.

The Pixel 5 also has a new "extreme" battery saver mode.

"Turn on Extreme Battery Saver and Android will pause most apps (and their notifications), throttle the processor, turn off location scanning for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, reduce the screen timeout to 30 seconds, and disable extras like your work profile and hotspots. That’s on top of existing Battery Saver changes like losing “hey Google” access. You can still unpause apps if necessary, but your phone will otherwise be much quieter than usual.

It sounds harsh, but Google is promising real gains: the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G should keep running for up to 48 hours with Extreme Battery Saver active. That may be enough to make it through a weekend camping trip or an extended power outage."
