Does the INCIPIO DUALPRO case for the KEYone prevent screen shattering?

Every case can potentially help the screen from shattering. That said, all it takes is the right drop in the right spot and any screen is going to shatter.

I have the Ringke Fusion on mine and just Tuesday I was sitting on the bus on the seat above the steps to the very back of the bus, it was sitting on my leg bus hit a hit bump or something and the KEYone fell flat on it's face/screen at the bottom of the 3 steps, I sighed and took a deep breath and picked it up and no damage to it at all, even though it fell a good 4 feet down.

Yeah, after going over every review I could find in the first week I got my K1, the Ringke seems to be the one case that offers the best face down protection. I can "slap it" down anywhere with complete confidence.

How's the bulk factor on that one though? Is it hard plastic or TPU? Cause the latter tarnishes pretty fast

It's a hard flexible gel or rubber, I wouldn't really say plastic.

However I have a dual layer rubber and hard plastic official blackberry keyone case and I noticed with the screen lift it'd make my touchscreen go nuts with invisible ghost touches and uncontrollable ghost scrolls, that and the headphone jack hole was a lil too small for some normal 3.5mm jack's and it wouldn't allow it to fully plug in.

Aah, that's awful! So glad I didn't buy into that. My friend got one, and I hated the way the screen felt. It just felt so cheap for a flagship device.

Folks here on CB do highly recommend the Ringke Fusion though.

I like it a lot! More than my dual layer case.

I have the Incipio Dual layer one, and it's ok. Doesn't fit as snuggly as I'd like. I just ordered the Ringke Fusion and should be here tomorrow. Definitely love the $9.99 price as opposed to the $29.99 price. :P

I really like that this case protrudes everywhere, not only at the top. Can you confirm that when placing the phone face down, not a single part of it actually touches the surface?

Yes hold on at breaktime I'll take a underside pic of it on the glass table with it face down. But yes it does prelude a good lil bit from the edge and the screen.

I have the Ringke and I bought the lanyard/paracord that could be attached to it. Having that gives me an extra layer of drop protection (although my kids tell me it is super-nerdy).

Aah, that's awful! So glad I didn't buy into that. My friend got one, and I hated the way the screen felt. It just felt so cheap for a flagship device.

I had the Moto Turbo 2... never had an issue with it's "shatter proof" screen, and it took a few falls in the two years I had it (one bent the side a little). Only issue is it didn't have waterproofing... won't be buying another phone without out that feature.

I read somewhere that the INCIPIO DUALPRO case is a lot like the OEM dual layer case. The only issue I'm having with the INCIPIO DUALPRO is that when you put the phone face down, the keyboard touches the surface.

Hopefully the lip height is a bit higher in the OEM dual layer case but someone will have to confirm it
